Thursday August 4th
This was one one of the busiest days of our lives.. We left Bear Lake around 8:00 am and headed straight home to finish any packing that hadn't gotten done. The kids went to my parent house for the afternoon, my mom and sister Melanie watched them, Jamey and I just went ham trying to tie loose ends up. We had to sell our washer and dryer and our portable dish washer.
We had to make it over to Wellington's sunbeam teachers house. Sister Balmer, she had a gift for him of course and it was such a tender goodbye. She has been a sunbeam teacher for as long as I can remember. I had her! She runs a very tight ship and is proud of her well behaved class. She always sent the kids home loaded with treats and coloring projects to do. Needless to say she is AMAZING!! She LOVES Wellington. She told me she doesn't have favorites but that Wellington is her favorite. We are going to miss her like crazy!
At 5:00 pm Amanda Larson took my kids for dinner and to play while we packed the U-haul. Heaven sent! They clearly had a ball!
Here is our Penske with the Jetta strapped to the back.
6:00 PM We started to load.
Then the flocks arrived to help. Holy cow we are so blessed. It took about an hour to get the whole thing packed! Quickest move EVER!
All the young men came to help

We brought Scarlett home from the hospital here
The women who helped my clean after it was empty, what would I have done without you?
After we got the kids down we ran to Nielsen's for one last treat
Friday August 5th
We started the drive with tears in our eyes and heavy hearts. We close one chapter of our lives to begin a new one! We started our journey at 4:15 AM with 4 bikes, 98 picture frames, 5 beds, 1 tramp, and a lot more memories! We are going to miss home but are excited for what lies ahead!
My sweet mom drove in the minivan with me while Jamey drove the Penske
We stayed together most of the time. We hit some gnarly rain through southern Utah
Everyone passed out
My sister Mel got me these cute sweats, my perfect road trip attire.
Flat Texas
Making out at the gas station, why not right??
We slept over in Amarillo and woke up on Saturday August 6th to finish the last 5 hours. We rolled into town around 1:00 pm and headed straight to lunch.
We made it HOME! Our first home together, we were so giddy to walk in as a family.
A few people from our ward came to help us unpack. Really the hottest day I have ever lived through, I have never seen my husband sweat so bad! But, we got it done.
This was a lovely welcome home gift... hole in our kitchen. Our master bathroom toilet was leaking!
The bomb.
Jamey and I couldn't stop putting stuff away. We were on a high, the kitchen was top priority for me.
