30th Trip of Dreams

Thursday April 8th
We headed off EARLY to the beautiful state of California to visit Jamey's sister Joslyn and her family and for my 30th BIRTHDAY!! The only place I want to be.. CALI!

Cousins reunited
My HAPPY PLACE!!
We had a picnic lunch by the Golden Gate Bridge

The fog came in quickly and covered it all up.

The Palace of Fine Arts

Oh how I love this woman!

Flowers that my boys picked for me

We got to meet the sweetest addition to the Airhart family..
Eleanor
This girl was 6 weeks old and a total DREAM! Went everywhere and didn't make a peep, angel baby!
We did lots of driving on this trip and it was all so gorgeous, and it allowed our kids to take awesome naps!

Scarlett legit thought she was a mommy..
Friday March 9th
Joslyn's Birthday!

We headed to the Redwood Forest- a first for Jamey and I.

The peace and stillness found in this forest is unbelievable. These trees are so remarkable and they grow in families! They can withstand so much, even fires! We were in complete awe!

Banana slugs

Wellington actually recovered from this..

Inside a tree, Andrew was not getting frisky, he was trying to "tickle" Myla.

My favorite picture from the trip, we blew it up to put in on the wall. The Redwood Forest was so spiritual and amazing. We loved every second.
Naturally, we went to the beach next. Warm or freezing, the ocean is spectacular!

It was all fun and games until Scar went fully in the water..
We headed home in time for a date night to a delicious Thai Restaurant.
Birthday celebrations all around!
Saturday March 10th
MY 30th BIRTHDAY!!
Starting my day off with a nice run around the neighborhood and then reading Jamey's favorite 30 memories of me!
Carmel-By-The-Sea
Lunch with my family

Darling little town and street.
After lunch we went to Point Lobos State Reserve to do some hiking along cliffs with the ocean below. Truly my dream, hiking and looking at the ocean! It was raining and just gorgeous!

Where the mountains meet the sea... MOVE ME HERE!

The morning of my Birthday my Dad called and we chatted about what I was going to do, I told him our plans and he said, "I went to basic training at Fort Ord for the military." That evening we ended up at Fort Ord!! We weren't even planning on going there. It was crazy!
As we arrived at the beach the clouds parted and the rain stopped. We got to sit and watch the sunset... it was SO BEAUTIFUL and the PERFECT ending to my 30th Birthday! Being with the ones that I love most by the ocean!

Best Year Yet!

The sunset got better and better by the minute..

Seeing a rainbow on your Birthday?? It's going to be a really good YEAR!
Sunday March 11th
Church
These flowers are in Rappleye's backyard!
Painting rocks

We were outside all afternoon enjoying the most perfect weather, the kids were having so much fun playing together!

Joslyn made this incredible chocolate cake for us!

Can't get enough of sweet baby Eleanor, all my children are begging us to have another one!

Monday March 12th
YOSEMITE!!
Just the drive alone was breathtaking, we had no idea how our minds would be BLOWN! Pictures will NEVER do it justice. It was a big bucket list item for Jamey and I and we had the most perfect blue sky weather. The following day it was pouring!
We will be back!!

Our boys were totally in their element!

Our first view of Yosemite Falls

Our kids could have stayed here all day throwing rocks into the river, it was so peaceful and still.

I wish I had his hair color!
Half Dome
It was so fun to be able to pin point redwood trees. All the trees in general were so amazing to me, thinking about what they have seen and been through! There were lots of trees like this and they had the largest bark..
Peace Please

Yosemite Falls

Not even 10 minutes after leaving the park..
We had the most magical and spiritual day together as a family being in Yosemite and were protected.. This was the only injury we left with..
That night we ate at the yummiest Mexican joint and slept in a hotel just outside of the park. We woke up Tuesday morning and had a lazy morning then drove back to the Rappleye's. We left for home that afternoon. This trip was life changing for us... we didn't take a stroller and our kids did awesome without lots of naps! We ran all over and we grew so close together as a family! I feel invigorated turning 30, I can't wait to see what this new decade brings to my life!
