Hurricane Harvey

Saturday September 16th-17th
Jamey had the amazing opportunity to go down to Houston with our church to help with clean up. Mormon Helping Hands is so amazing, they are organized, willing to help anyone and everyone, and they get the job done fast!
We have been trying to figure out the best way to help with Harvey and it was perfect when Jamey got a call to help organize a group for clean up. He had such a neat experience down there, so eye opening and spiritual.

Anything that water touched had to go so they were in charge of getting it out of there.

This is where Jamey slept for the night in a big basketball center.
 Sunday
They started the day with a Sacrament meeting then they had breakfast and went to WORK!
Can you see the water line on that screen door?
I mean can you even imaging? Everything you own out in your front yard as garbage and covered in mold.. So sad and so devastating!

 Goodbye shoes
When Jamey got home Sunday night he was alive and well, barley! He was very tired but he spent 20 minutes in the shower scrubbing every nook and cranny four times. He said he scrubbed his feet so hard they almost fell off! He also said he has never sweat so much in his life.
I'm proud that he could serve the people of Houston!
